Malden Hall - 40 modern, individual bed-study rooms and communal facilities


Malden Hall has 10 flats with 40 rooms – 17 single and 21 double plus one suite and a one bedroom flat.

As it’s a corner building, there are two entrances – one on Belmont Avenue (flats 1 to 4), the other on Burlington Road (flats 5 to 10).

Smoking is not allowed anywhere within Malden Hall but an outdoors amenity area is provided.

All gas and electrical safety certificates available upon request.


What does each flat contain?

  • 4 fully furnished study-bedrooms with a bed, desk and chair, wardrobe and bookshelf
  • En suite shower room
  • 100Mbps Fibre Optic Internet (Ethernet and wireless - see separate acceptable  usage policy)
  • Double glazing and good insulation
  • Kitchen/Dining room containing a fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and iron.  A vacuum cleaner, ironing board and basic cleaning equipment (dustpan and brush, mop and bucket, broom) are also provided

What do I need to bring?

  • Pots and pans, cutlery and crockery (these can be bought very cheaply nearby and I always advise flat sharers to discuss what they are happy to share so that you don’t end up with everyone bringing the same things)

What is nearby?

  • Everything you need is within 5 minutes walk!
  • There is a Tesco supermarket where you can buy anything you might need whilst living at Malden Hall – all your food, linen, towels, crockery, cutlery, electrical items …  There is also a pharmacy and a cash dispenser. You can buy SIM cards for your phones... Check out their website at

Where is Malden Hall?

  • The 131 bus stop is outside Malden Hall.  This bus will take you to Kingston town centre and to the main Penrhyn Road and Knights Park campuses.  This is also the bus stop for the N77 bus which is a direct bus from central London or Kingston which runs throughout the night
  • Motspur Park is the nearest train station with trains direct to Waterloo for access to central London and the London Underground
  • The 265 bus will take you to Kingston Hill or the Roehampton Campuses
